Marilyn “Sue” Graft
Marilyn “Sue” Graft, 92, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026. She was born Marilyn Sue Gerhart on April 25, 1933, in Miami County, Indiana, to the late Harry Gerhart and Mary McConnell.
She was united in marriage to Richard “Rich” Graft on October 14, 1951, in Miami County, Indiana. Their loving marriage spanned more than six decades until Rich preceded her in death on October 12, 2012. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, and shared adventure.
Sue was the devoted mother of Colleen (Jerry) McDaniel, Pam (Larry) Bulmer, and Karen (Mike) Scott. She was preceded in death by her daughter Pam in 2025. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Joseph (Lacy) Rosinski, Megan Gima, Krisiti (Scott) Rabe, Nicholas (Heather) Bulmer, David (Ronda) Morrison, Kim (Mike) Humbert, David (Alisha) Scott, Brandon Scott, Jenna (Jake) Self and was further blessed with eighteen great grandchildren who brought her great joy.
Sue retired from Wabash Valley Bank in Bunker Hill, Indiana after 20 years of dedicated service, serving as Branch Manager and earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike for her professionalism, warmth, and leadership. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and valued the history and traditions the organization represented.
Sue will be remembered for her compassion, kindness, and unfailing positive outlook on life. She and Rich shared a lifelong love of travel, exploring destinations across the United States, as well as throughout Europe and Asia, creating many cherished memories along the way.
Above all, Sue treasured time spent with her family and friends. Her gentle spirit, caring heart, and encouraging presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 11:00am at Springdale Cemetery in Bunker Hill, Indiana.
